With the launch of Microsoft's new operating system, Vista, safely in the bag, Microsoft are now turning their attention to your business; or more importantly, to your business website.
Microsoft Office Live, part of their new Vista Operating System, will soon offer small businesses the ability to develop their own website from the comfort of their own home.
Using an Office like interface, businesses will be guided through a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) type process, helping them to create a multi-page website at the click of a mouse. Microsoft will further support business by hosting their new website, on the Microsoft webservers, for free; throwing in the personalized domain name at no extra cost!
This new business service comes just as competition in Microsoft's market start to hot-up as company's such as Goolge start to muscle in on Microsoft's bread and butter services; namely Operating Systems, Desktop Publishing Software and Integrated Search.
Google, via its new Google Desktop application, is flooding the market with a raft of free alternatives to Microsoft's expensive tools, such as Office.
As the market starts to become increasingly fierce, small businesses can expect to be able to cherry pick deals from the competing companies. So stay vigilant and keep checking your emails for special offers!
